Team Management

TheTerms supports multi-tenant organisations with role-based access control. Each organisation is fully isolated — members can only see and manage content within their own organisation.

Key Capabilities

Section titled “Key Capabilities”
  • Invite team members by email address
  • Assign one of three invitable roles: Admin, Editor, or Viewer (Owner cannot be assigned by invite — see note below)
  • Change a member’s role at any time (requires Admin or Owner; a member cannot be promoted to Owner this way either)
  • Remove members from the organisation (requires Admin or Owner)
  • Pending invitations are visible and can be cancelled (there is no resend — cancel and re-invite instead)

Roles

OwnerEverything an Admin can, plus deleting the organisation
AdminInvite/remove team members, change roles, create/delete containers, duplicate containers, create/edit documents and versions, send signing invitations
EditorDuplicate containers, create/edit documents and versions, send signing invitations. Cannot create or delete containers — that’s Admin/Owner only
ViewerRead-only access to all containers, documents, and signing results

Inviting a Team Member

Section titled “Inviting a Team Member”

Invitations are sent by email. The recipient receives a link to accept the invitation and join the organisation. If they don’t already have an account, they’ll be prompted to create one.
